Despite the economic downturn, Leicestershire-based haulier Harry Moran has pressed hard on the pedal and is investing in his fleet in order to stay ahead of the game.
And on top of his "shopping list" is a fleet of personalised registrations which, he says, are integral to his future plans for this business, A.R.M Fastfreight Ltd.
Costing just £245 each, the 45-year-old former soldier says his collection - including FF51 ARM, FF02 ARM, FF52 ARM, FF53 ARM, FF04 ARM - is money well spent in his bid to raise the profile of his business, and is the most cost effect form of advertising. He also firmly believes the registrations are a no-brainer investment, especially on the new additions to his fleet encompassing one seven-and-a-half tonne truck, two 26-tonne lorries and eight artics.
Speaking from his offices in Hinckley, he said: "I firmly believe now is the time to invest in your business if you want any chance of staying ahead of the game and succeed when others are not.
"I've previously operated out of three different sites around Leicestershire, however I am currently developing new premises near Ashby de la Zouch which will consolidate my operation.
"I've also replaced my previously leased vehicles, and while my replacements fall into the category of being "used", they are all in pristine showroom condition. The personalised registrations are the icing on the cake, they ensure stand out, convey a greater professional image and, as I've managed to buy combinations so close to my company's name, they all the perfect advert for the business."
