A 22-year-old businessman from London paid £81,178 for the registration 7 T during the climax to DVLA Personalised Registration’s latest auction and then declared “it’s a great investment!”
Wahab Tariq Hussain, who drove from his Chigwell home to Wychwood Park, Crewe, specifically to buy himself a single-digit numberplate, stressed that while he intends to show off his prize, 7 T is an investment and one in which he believes will reap a handsome reward.
That said, the young businessman who has no immediate plans of placing it back on the open market, said: “While some will undoubtedly say buying a registration for so much money is extravagant, I believe it’s a fabulous investment.”
Mr Hussain, who works in the family business alongside his father, Tariq, now has the dilemma of which car to place it on, his Bentley Continental or Lamborghini!
